Local makers & cooperatives

Some of our favourite people around Agadir are the makers and cooperatives who keep local craft and argan traditions alive. We're happy to point guests towards them, and every feature here is free.

Location: Aourir, Taghazout Bay – near Tamraght and Agadir

A ceramics studio in Aourir, about five kilometres up the road to Paradise Valley. It was founded by a French potter who qualified in France and also trained in a traditional pottery workshop in Morocco, and the work draws on the region's ocean and mountain landscapes. The studio runs beginner wheel-throwing classes (no experience needed), private classes for 1–3 people and a four-day wheel-throwing intensive, in English and French. It mainly works by reservation, so please get in touch before you go.
